Meet Shelia R. Tolar

Bio

Shelia R. Tolar is an associate with the firm, practicing in the area of admiralty and maritime litigation. A native of South Mississippi, Ms. Tolar received a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Southern Mississippi. She worked as a technical writer at Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc., the former Avondale Shipyard, before and during law school. Ms. Tolar received her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, graduating cum laude. While in law school, she served as editor-in-chief of the Loyola Maritime Law Journal, sat on the Honor Board for three terms, and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Staff. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Tolar represented clients in first-party property litigation.
