Meet Morenike Erinkitola

Bio

Morenike earned her J.D. in 2023 from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, where she distinguished herself as a 2022 Fullbright semi-finalist.  In addition to serving as the Social Events Co-Chair for the Student Bar Association from Fall 2022 to Spring 2023, she also competed in the 2023 Pace National Environmental Law Moot Court Competition. After being selected to represent Loyola as the 2022 student fellow for the American Bar Association’s Legal Education Police Practices Consortium, Morenike worked on a year-long research project with Dean Madeleine Landrieu. Morenike’s research project, the e-book Arrested. New Orleans is a resource guide for people arrested in New Orleans and is preserved on Loyola’s Law Tech website.

Morenike was selected as the inaugural Judicial Independence Fellow for Court Watch NOLA in 2022. In the summer of 2022, Morenike earned a Certificate in Global Arbitration from Mitchell Hamline School of Law after studying abroad in London, England. She holds a B.A. in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Louisiana State University, where she was a member of the Roger Hadfield Ogden Honors College. She also holds a A.A. in English from City Colleges of Chicago – Kennedy-King College.

Prior to law school, Morenike enjoyed a long career in the hospitality industry after graduating from Le Cordon Bleu Atlanta. In her spare time, Morenike enjoys tutoring law graduates for the Louisiana and UBE bar exams.
